The Church of Saint Leonard Horringer Suffolk was the venue for the wedding ceremony of Kathy & Ian.  After the ceremony their wedding venue for the reception was The Mill Hotel in Sudbury.

The church of Saint Leonard Horringer occupies a focal point of the village overlooking the village green and the entrance of Ickworth Park.  It is an amazing building being over 1,000 years old, as can be seen below.

After photographing the church I went to Kathy’s mum’s house to cover the bridal preparations.  Everyone was quite relaxed, for a wedding day!  Everyone’s preparations were going well.

When I arrived Kathy had already got her hair done and was applying her make-up.  After taking a few candid shots I left her to finish getting ready.  Meanwhile I photographed all the details such as the Bride’s wedding bouquet, dress & shoes.

The weather was very changeable.  However, we were able to do some portraits outside of Kathy and her bridal party.  The garden was well sheltered and had high evergreen hedges, which makes the ideal backdrop.

Unknown to Kathy they had organised a surprise horse & carriage to take her to the church – wow!
