Here are a few images from a model portfolio session with Amber & Gareth from Norwich at my home studio. I wanted to try some romantic couple shots in the classic burgundy red velvet boudoir set as well as some high-key portraits.
Originally we were going to do some fashion shots with various outfits but we had less time than planned due to heavy traffic from Norwich to Ipswich. Amber had to be back in Norwich to teach pole dancing.
Gareth was keen to have some top shots, which had to be rushed with Amber holding the black backdrop in place. I had intended to set up a rim light to give Gareth separation from the background. When I realised and pointed this out, Gareth said he preferred the pictures without. Anyway, I think it works fine here, although a hair light would have been beneficial. This picture look great in colour and Black & White, but I put the colour version up here to show his holiday sun tan 
The head shots were done using my posing table, which I had been telling Gareth how difficult these to buy. I only found one place that sold them but I was able to buy a table, chair and postage from the States for less than the basic table price in the UK! I have actually bought a lot of equipment from the States as it simply is not available in the UK of is three times the price. Anyway you can imagine my horror when I set it up and Amber went to sit on it thinking it was a stool! Thankfully it is very sturdy
All the image were lit using my Bowens beauty dish as the key light and a soft box as fill light or background light.

Unfortunately the few images I entered with Amber did not do so well achieving Bronze awards, which really surprised me for the high key fashion shot but at that level the smallest of details can make all the difference.
