What have football and weddings got in common?

You may be wondering what on earth weddings and football have in common…
…well if your Groom is a big football fan you could be sharing your big day with a football match!
I have photographed several weddings where the Groomsmen listen to the football on a small radio and then relay the latest results and action to the groom. At the reception the Groom and Groomsmen can be found lined up along the bar watching the game unless they need to be photographed with you 
This was exactly what happened at Sarah & Ben’s wedding that I photographed a couple of years ago. Luckily they are both big football fans as are Ben’s parents 
Recently Ben asked if I could photograph the football team that he manages so he could have some pictures for their website, www.fcadhara.co.uk.
After having to postpone our first date due to players being sick and hard frost, I photographed the team yesterday. It was a glorious morning and pleasantly warm while in the sun, although this did cause problems being so low in the sky. It was also lovely to see Sarah and Ben’s brother & parents, who are all involved in the football club.
Below is one of the team photos and the lads in action as they went on to win 3-0 against the Chantry Rangers. I like to think it was the presence of the camera that spurred them all on
