GOLD Award for Fine Art

I have just heard that the derelict old school house on Langeoog went up in flames last night.  It was due to be demolished so I probably would not have been able to explore it again anyway.  However it is still a shame to see it go for good

It is a popular tourist attraction, as I found out last year when I got scared half to death by some other urban explorers looking for a way to break it.  Thankfully they were friendly and not the Polizei as I was wondering how I going to talk my way out of that one in German

This has just inspired me to take some time out to process a few more images taken last year and the year before.

I just wish I could find a derelict building like this locally as they make a perfect location for photo shoots.

A burnt out chair. The broken foam is typical for the furniture, which I assume is due to mice and or rats.

Last year Imke’s sister suggested that I should put on an exhibition on the Island.  Perhaps it is worth thinking about now the images hold even more value of interest.  Especially as Langeoog does attract a lot of tourists that have an interest in fine art.
