This is a question I’ve been asking myself with this shot taken in a recent boudoir photography session.
Fine Art Sensuous Boudoir Photography
This wasn’t a planned shot but rather a moment when something suddenly catches your eye. I had directed Annmarie through several poses while she was lying down. I asked her to place her ring hand just below the other hand. Then I realised there was a picture within a picture.
After taking my planned picture I asked her to remain still while I closed in on the detail of her hands. It was her opposing fingers that caught my attention as they create tension. And the central line of the corset leads right through the image exiting through the line created by her cleavage. There are lots of things drawing the viewers’ attention at different levels but to me the focus point is the ring finger. All the lines lead through the picture but your eyes will always come to rest on the engagement, wedding and maternity rings.
So that’s my rather complicated visualisation of this image but what do you think…
