I’m thrilled this photograph of a sidecar outfit scooped Highly Commended in last month’s SWPP award winning photography for sports.
I took this photograph at Brands Hatch race circuit in Kent. The sidecar outfit is entering Druids after coming up Pilgrims Hill.
Images with strong filter affects are currently performing well in the SWPP monthly awards. So when I got a request for some club racing photographs from a few years ago, I couldn’t resist experimenting with some new software filters.
One filter increases the intensity of the colours while another brings out all the fine details. The final result has vibrancy in the colours and texturally reminds me of pastel drawings.
