Suffolk photographers at Asian henna party

The bride and her sister entertain their guests at her Asian henna party.

It was a pleasure to be the Suffolk photographer asked to cover Shaz’s Asian Henna party.

Even though I officially stopped photographing weddings last year, Shaz’s sister Lena had asked me to photograph Shaz’s wedding the year before. Β And having the opportunity to witness and photograph an Asian wedding was too much to resist.

Besides, I’m a firm believer in the saying – never say never πŸ™‚

Shaz and Moh split their wedding celebrations between Ipswich and Birmingham. Asian weddings are usually spread over several days. I photographed her henna party and then their celebrations in the Novotel two days later.

The henna party was held in a marquee. There was just one flood light and a few hanging light bulbs for illumination. Modern professional digital cameras cope amazingly well in low light conditions. And the latest software creates incredible results as you can see below.
